Terms of use
Last updated : Nov 6, 2026
1. The service
Rotor is online software provided by Jonathan Bachour to auto repair shops. By creating its account or paying the subscription, the shop accepts these terms.
2. The account
The shop keeps its password secret and is responsible for what is done with its account. It keeps its information (name, taxes, contact details) up to date.
3. Price and payment
Shops in Canada: $249.99 per month, with no tax added for now. If Jonathan Bachour registers for GST and QST, applicable taxes will be added to the price, with 30 days’ notice. Shops in the United States: US$199.99 USD per month, with no Canadian tax. Payable in advance each month by card (automatic payment) or another agreed method. No free access unless agreed in writing with Jonathan Bachour.
4. Late payment and suspension
If a payment isn’t received, the shop has 7 days of grace. After that, access is suspended (online booking and automatic texts stop) until payment. The data is kept.
5. Ending the subscription
The shop can stop its subscription at any time; it stays active until the end of the paid period. Started months are not refunded. Jonathan Bachour may end the service with 30 days’ notice, or immediately in case of illegal or abusive use.
6. The shop’s data
The shop remains the owner of its data and its customers’ data. It can export it at any time (More → Export my data). Jonathan Bachour uses it only to provide the service, under the privacy policy. Nothing is erased automatically over time: the shop itself deletes the customer files it no longer wants to keep. When the shop leaves, its data is deleted at its request; Jonathan Bachour keeps only its subscription billing records (6 years, for taxes).
7. The shop’s obligations
- It is responsible for its customers’ personal information (Quebec Law 25): it uses it only to serve them and answers their access or correction requests.
- It sends promotions only to customers who agreed (Canada’s anti-spam law; in the United States, the TCPA and carrier rules). The app helps (consent box, STOP, HELP), but the shop is accountable for consents it records or imports itself.
- It is responsible for the accuracy of its prices, receipts and taxes (including its sales tax rate in the United States and what is taxable in its state), and its tax numbers.
- It follows its province’s or state’s auto repair laws (written estimates, warranties, signs). The app provides Quebec’s notices; elsewhere, the shop adds its own (message at the bottom of receipts).
- It sends no illegal, misleading or offensive message.
8. Availability
Jonathan Bachour makes reasonable efforts to keep the service available and backed up daily, but does not guarantee uninterrupted service. Delivery of texts and emails depends on providers and carriers.
9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, except for intentional or gross fault, Jonathan Bachour’s total liability is limited to the amounts paid by the shop in the last 12 months, and Jonathan Bachour is not liable for indirect losses (for example, lost profits).
10. Changes
Jonathan Bachour may change these terms or the price with 30 days’ notice by email. Continuing to use the service after that date means acceptance.
11. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada; Quebec courts have jurisdiction. They are written in French; the English version is provided for information and, in case of difference, the French version prevails.
